KAMYAAK VILLAGE
The Kamyaak community is setting an example in taking action for the well-being, dignity, and empowerment of disadvantage communities by locals, for locals and the world. In order to find solutions for challenges posed by climate change, social justice, poverty, and exodus.
We think that communities can contribute positively to today's challenges. Cultural exchange (sharing of experiences, expertise, and knowledge) between individuals is one of our main focuses.
With the project Kamyaak Village, we are working towards understanding other perspectives in the conception of development (environmentally, socially, and culturally) in Africa.
ECO TOURISM
Sleep in eco-domes, work in market gardening, discover agroforetry and recharge your batteries in a place where the notion of time changes. During immersions you will participate in the various activities on site, such as agro-ecology, the manufacture of natural soaps, the production of touba coffee, or the natural fabric dyeing workshop. You will benefit from full room and board and a warm welcome.
SOAP PRODUCTION
Natural ingredients have amazing healing properties. Whether it's fighting acne, relieving eczema, or simply getting you clean, the ingredients we choose are always selected for a purpose. Our goals are:
Develop safe spaces for work and creation;
Create 100% local and fair trade products;
Participate in the empowerment of women.
ECODOME CONSTRUCTION
Jiwnit Senegal offers a training structure for the SuperAdobe technique. The training will be provided mainly in the village of Kamyaak and will be duplicated by our future partners. We have already carried out a training session for the young people of our ecovillage in 2021.
TREEBOG
We build compost toilets, which are perfectly suited for the environment as well as culture in Senegal. About 15 tree are planted around the Treebog. Tree roots feed on feces and urine and produce much more fruit. Treebogs can accepts the wash water people use here instead of toilet paper. There is no need to handle or move feces. There is no need to seperate urine and feces, all water, organic matter and nutrients stay in the Treebog and are available to plants and trees.

ARTISANAL BAKERY
An artisanal bakery was eco-designed in 2023. It is located at the entrance to the village of Kamyaak.
It makes it possible to produce bread in the traditional way and to revive the attractiveness of the village and the surrounding area.
